In-Home Respite Services (CADDS Service Code 862)

In-Home Respite Services is a non-medical service that provides primary caregivers with a temporary break from caring for their loved ones with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Services may be provided intermittently or on a regularly scheduled basis to provide temporary supervision and support in the home.

Families can select a secondary caregiver they trust who will be paid through Aven Care Providers for the care they provide. Families may choose a family member, excluding a parent or legal guardian, a friend, or another trusted person within their social and familial circle. Families may select multiple caregivers as needed to assist with their loved one’s care needs. All selected providers must be hired by Aven Care Providers and have the required authorization in place before services can begin.
